Silhouettes

Animal Silhouettes
The power of a silhouette is its artlessness. After all: colors, structures and details can no longer define the photo, as they are swallowed by the blackness. All there is left are the contours, to define what we are looking at.
These outlines have to really nail the essence of the subject, like some kind of archetypal shapes, otherwise they won’t be recognizable. And that’s why I love playing with beautiful sunrises and sunsets and animal silhouettes: they force you to go back to the basics; the art of simplicity.

Silhouettes of deer, foxes, swans, geese, goslings, owls, godwits, little owls, short-eared owls, insects and flowers at sunrise and sunset.
