Being lured out or seduced in
I photograph, but I could just as well be painting or drawing.
It’s just that time only lets you choose one path at a time.
When I’m out in nature with my camera, I can’t be inside with jars of acrylics and a brush.
And the camera… well, it keeps luring me outside, promising light, wonder, and the kind of magic that only shows itself once.
Painting is different. Paintings don’t lure me to go out, but tempt me to go inside.
Serendipity
For a long time, I simply followed the light. Until one day, to my great surprise, my camera broke. And so I picked up a brush, shook the dust from my old paints, and painted like a fox possessed.
Have a peek into my other world.
