Reflections: Mirrored Worlds and Doubled Wonders

Reflections

Reflections might seem ordinary. So common that we barely notice them. But think about it: when the wind dies down and the sun hangs low, something amazing happens.
Ponds, puddles, streams, and even the sea suddenly stop being just water… and turn into mirrors.

Magical depths

Those flowers reminded me of John Bauers Little Princess Cottongrass

Even muddy woodland puddles can reveal hidden realms. Magical depths where tiny flowers transform into fairy-tale princesses, straight out of a John Bauer painting.
A drinking fox becomes Narcissus.
A landscape morphs into a Rorschach test.

Suddenly, you get two for the price of one:
Damselflies dancing above the water appear twice as elegant.
Goslings multiplied into a whole fluffy parade.
A line of trees becomes an entire forest.
The world as we know it flips, doubles, and dazzles.
How cool is that?

And when a sunrise or sunset joins in, painting the mirrored world in gold, orange, pink or even purple, that’s my bliss.
