Owls, owls, owls

Owls, flying foxes?

Owls remind me a lot of foxes. This might sound a bit strange, as one hardly ever gets to see a flying fox.
So let me explain: Just like foxes, owls are highly intelligent animals. In one of my fox stories, I wrote about foxes, and their unique personalities. The same goes for owls. Just like foxes, they differ a lot. Every individual owl has its own characteristic behaviour and looks, which makes them endlessly fascinating to me. Within the same species, one can often distinguish totally elusive owls and completely comfortable versions. Some of them are very approachable and watch you curiously, while other owls are gone as soon as you blink once.

I’ve watched different owl breeds, like little owls, short-eared owls and long-eared owls for some time and the one thing they all have in common is their ability to keep surprising.
No matter if they fly, hunt, eat, clean, sit or just sleep, never a dull moment with an owl!
I might have told before that I love red foxes …?
Well, the same goes for owls!
